Update to annual food industry awards revealed
The annual Food Management Today Industry Awards has confirmed that the ceremony will be upgraded and be scheduled to take place as a black-tie dinner event on the 20th May 2021.
The ceremony had originally been provisionally scheduled to take place on 18th March 2021, but ongoing Government rulings in relation to Covid-19 has seen organisers upgrade the awards to a dinner ceremony and confirm a new slightly later date.
The awards ceremony recognises the very best within the UK food processing and manufacturing sectors and will take place at the five star Royal Garden Hotel in London.
Product nomination deadline for the Awards have also been extended to 2nd November, giving those in the meat industry longer to nominate products for the following categories:
Delivery of products will be required later in November for judging at the test kitchens situated within the Regional Food Academy, Harper Adams University.
Voting is also open until 2nd November for the following categories:

Publisher of Food Management Today magazine, Graham Yandell, said: “Although the FMT Awards has previously been staged as a lunch ceremony, we believe that hosting this event as a black-tie dinner will still prove to be another superb five-star occasion which we are known for as a company.
“Of course, we will continue to monitor Government advice regarding Covid-19 in order to ensure we can celebrate this truly remarkable industry in a safe and secure environment. We always have the option of moving the ceremony online, but we are hopeful that will not be required.”
